Way O/T: The catch of the day
I just wanted to share a couple of photos of a beautiful Largemouth Bass I caught this morning on one of my local lakes.
I have been an avid Bass fisherman for several years and the opportunities to land a fish like this is a rare occasion .
Weight 10 pounds 4 ounces

I do a bit of fishing every once in a while (duh!), and I have to agree. Rare occasion indeed. Well done sir. Is that your son in the first pic? And are you mounting it? Or (even better) a replica?
Congrats again,
Fish

Re: Way O/T: The catch of the day
Congrats on the trophy. I too, am an avid bass angler. I have only caught up to a little over nine pounds. I read an interesting article in Bassmaster several years ago where they surveyed all of the professional anglers in their tournament circuit, which was hundreds. Over 80% of the PROS had never caught a bass over 10 lbs. Good job!!!

Re: Way O/T: The catch of the day
Thanks guys.
The boy with the girlie haircut is my son. And yes , you have to watch the Weimaraners. They absolutely love the water and the boat. I have a photo somewhere of my oldest pup pointing a bass.
I will be mounting this one. I took her to a local taxidermist this afternoon but I did give the replica some consideration.
Previous to this beauty I had never caught a Bass over 8 pounds and only mounted the first of those.
