My grandmother passed away at the age of 89 exactly a year ago to the date. She lived a good life and was ready to go after living ten years longer than her husband but I still miss her (and him... see pic below from the Eastern State Penitentiary). I'm really glad that I got to spend several summers with her the last few years and wish that the same was true with my grandfather but I wasn't quite as mature back then and didn't appreciate his stories (about the prison and his life) as much then as I would now. I still have my dad to relay those stories and we often get glimpses of the prison on different "ghost hunting" TV shows.

Anyway, I came across a free download of one of my favorite Marillion songs which always reminds me of friends and family who have passed on. I really like the message that the lyrics promote (loss/pain, reassurance/comfort, and cherishing those who you love that are still around rather than trying to find answers to the uncertain/unknown keeping in mind that time can heal but memories live on) as well as how the music supports the lyrics. The direct link to the 256kbps mp3 (15MB - 8min) is here... http://c.ilike.com/d/0000/251/000025...on-Estonia.mp3

Hopefully they are now together again on "the other side."
