Default Double bass reflex enclosure? Worth while?

Anyone out there ever try a double bass reflex build?

Project Showcase for the next in progression, my 3CR-Ti, or a triple of the same. I have also built a DCR, and it does have some merit in reudcing Xmax over a broader range than a typical bass-reflex/ported cab.

Some around here probably have, but having read about them, what do you find appealing?

Fascinating. What parts of the range were affected?

Mainly the range around the multiple tunings. The impedance in the 3CR is a very 'broad-hill', instead of several narrow peaks:

The Midbass to bass range is where the Xmax is reduced around the tuning in a conventional bass-reflex, and you have more tunings to reduce the Xmax in a multiple design. I don't think the W4-1337 would do as well as it does in my 3CR as in a conventional alignment.
