Default Another use for a brad gun.

I had a simple x-o I wanted to build and needed some pins to hard wire to.

So I decided to use a mirror image of the x-o on the back of a piece of 3/8" mdf and fired some brads through for attachment points.

After I tried to solder to the first brad, I realised I had to remove the lacquer or whatever they are held together with, fine sandpaper did the trick.

Very simple way to wire a x-o, if you have a brad gun !!

If people want to listen to wiggles, that up to them....

    I prefer music.

I'll admit I clicked on this thread with some trepidation...... but wow Andy, thats a neat little trick, if your using a thick board for a x-over.

Yep, It worked nicely.. just don't have your fingers on the back of the board when you fire the brads !

Looks like that would be a good use for a scrap of Styrofoam, lay the board on the foam and fire in your brads. The foam would support the board and keep your digits out of trouble.

    Good thinking 99 !!

I did it by supporting the edge on a piece of 1" thick stock, a tad precarious once you have a lot of the pins done. I piece of styro would be a great idea.
