Re: Wolfy's armada....
Man you must have a stereo in every room of the house, even the bathroom.

Re: Wolfy's armada....
A nice collection you have! Rubyks is my favorite! They look awesome! Piece of pop art right there!

Re: Wolfy's armada....
Halldor-
I built those about 4 years ago, and they were a big hit, if only for looks alone. I can also say I did it before the guy with his Rubik-sub, the commercial ELAC sub, and the DIY ipod-dock.
I guess I'm a trend-setter.
Arlis- Most of these have been built over the last 10 years, so it's not all recent stuff. The 'Attitudes' will be most of my objective today.

Wolf,
You have "interesting" finishing choices. But, after having built a couple of your designs I can say that you are a master. As well as an ambassador of the hobby to those of us who struggle to get started. Thanks for some great designs and you never ending help.

And, I totally agree with Don, you are indeed a great ambassador/mentor for the hobby!
Mark
That's not even all of them. I didn't load the Zukini as it was kinda a flop in design, and my 'first' project was never posted on-line.
The 'Marianas' I did not post due to the fact the amp was made with an AC/DC PSU that I built, drivers that are NLA, and a lot of time and size make them definitely not an easy task.
Mark- you should poke around my Photobucket again to see what is up and coming, as there are quite a few rising fast!
Thank you for your kind words! I kinda like to think I took you and Donnie under the wing, sorta. You 2 have come a long way!
Ambassador??

'Interesting' as black-boxes don't cut it for me. There are a variety of shades in the color spectrum of light to be utilized and appreciated, and it also helps differentiate one project from the next.
*shux!* Between you and Mark, I could come across as a heavenly gift or something...
Master? It's just fun, Donnie!

Saint Wolfy...hmmm has a good sound to it
Icthus is definitely my favorite looks wise, wish I could have heard it.
Scandvifa's are definitely one of the best two ways I've ever heard.
It's not how far you go, it's how go you far

Re: Wolfy's armada....
Wow. I am left speechless by the ability shown here. It is amazing....
Side note: Wolf, did you ever finalize the MAX design? I am really interested in these....

I need to finish assembly on the second one yet, but I'm happy with its sound as is. Should be great for the desktop. I guess I have to update the schematic, but xover'd at 60Hz and up, these do surprisingly well.
Taterworks is supposed to be modelling up a tapped horn for the W5-1138 to go along with it. We'll see how these turn out as a set.

A need to adapt this schematic as well. The series resistor on the tweeter should be a 2.5 ohm for the purist, but 2 ohms is not bad at all.

Thank you for the compliment!

Wolf,
You know my goal in life is to create and build just half as many speakers as you. Plus I would not be at my current skill level without your help and aid.
Keep up the great work and Thanks!
Ed

Why- thank you, Ed! For being at it only a year or two, you've built quite a few. Mine have been over the last 11 years. I did have a couple years where I built 6 pair though...
Thanks!

Sweet. That's got to be the coolest big little design I've seen. Even as I was reading your last post I was thinking, "A micro horn-loaded sub would be sweet for this project..."

Wolf, do you have any other hobbies?

Re: Wolfy's armada....
Heya Wolf -
I'd been holding off on modeling the tapped horn (or ML-TH) until I heard from you whether you really wanted the design. I'll get right on the modeling.
Cheers!

Rory Buszka
