I'll be excited when test reports from the field show that it can actually put out reasonably close to 830 W for at more than one cycle at 20 Hz before it limits.

830? I'm anxious to see what the IPR4000 does! 
But I agree. I'll first need to get real-world feedback on how it holds up when pushed hard and in difficult environments (say outdoors, during the summer).

Yeah that will be the litmus test, hopefully they perform better than the Xti series at low frequencies.
