    Default Subwoofer Specs

Hello all, im thinking on buying two of these subs for 375 shipped.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Hybrid-sub-using...item335aed89df

Now it will be for home use in two channel stereo only not HomeTheater. my question is the fs is 36hz and the qts is .84 and the vas is 1.05 cf. I would like to know if you think this will be good to use the fs is high I thought. Dont you want to be around 20hz? it looks built well and has a xmas of 30mm one way. I just dont know if it will play low enough. Do you think if I use this it will make it play lower?

will EQ help it or is that not the best to do if you can get away with it? I listen to all types of music but electronic is my favorite type.

    Thanks for looking

This is ONLY my opinion (maybe someone who's actually used these drivers can shed more light for you), but if someone GAVE these to me, I'd put them in some 3.5 cf sealed and stuffed boxes. You end up with a Q of 0.94, but the F3 around 34Hz should be fairly optimum for music.

If you model them in the suggested boxes, for the 1.5 cf box the "peak at 50" is actually a +7dB spike at 54Hz, not too workable in my book. The 2.5 cf vented box fairs not much better with a +6dB spike at 46Hz.

For the $800 (for the drivers and the "eq system") I think you'd be better off buying some more suitable drivers that can do what you want "naturally".

    Chris
