DEQ1024 Question

I'm hoping that someone who is familiar with this unit can enlighten me on hook-up. Can I set the config to "PRE-EQ" and connect my RCA sub cable to the RCA digital input and have everything work? I'm only going to use this for my sub setup but because I'm going to have dual subs, I wanted to utilize both left and right outputs going to my EP2500. Will this unit distinguish left and right from the RCA digital input?

An RCA sub cable will not work on the digital input. You'll need to use an adaptor to 1/4" or XLR and drive the analog input with it.

Okay, thanks. I can do that. Why would it have an RCA connector for the digital input? That didn't make sense to me. Maybe that's why I don't design these things.

It's an RCA connector with the ability to accept SPDIF input. Think of the orange "Coaxial Digital Audio" connector on a home theater receiver. Same thing.

Thanks for the clarification. I have the cables and adaptors ordered. I can't hardly wait for all this stuff to arrive. I have great hopes for bass improvement.
