No- you can't just link left and right channels to the same set of terminals on one driver, as they will 'see' each other and cause overload.

You need to explain your subwoofer xover criteria for a better answer.

That means you will have a passive xover used with a sub, making it a passive sub that needs an amp separately. It also means you will require one of 2 things:
    -DVC subwoofer
    -2x SVC subwoofers

If you have a single voice coil sub, and not a second one, you cannot connect both reds and blacks to the single VC. This means you will only be able to play one channel of bass through the single sub, and stereo is not possible.

ok, so i could connect the right and left channels to the input on the crossover, and just connect either the left or the right channel to the single sub. now would the crossover still send the correct signals to the smaller speakers connected to the output on the crossover?

    thanks for your help!!

Hi, You would connect your speaker outputs from your amp to the "Input" on the crossover. Then your crossover should be wired to something like THIS -

Then simply connect your L-R speakers to the output of the crossover.
The crossover will direct the low frequency sounds to the sub, and the rest to the main speakers.
But, this is not ideal, as your sub may be more sensative than your mains, or vice-versa, so the sound will be un-balanced.
Do you already have a driver for this ?,
