Default OT: Touching base, and a question...

It's been a while since I'v posted anyting. My health has just given me fits since the last Friday in January (heart attach), followed by a ruptured femeral artery when they when in to put a stent in (still recuperating, but much, much better). Then a couple of weeks ago, food poisoning from a pot-luck at work which sent me to the hopital (passing blood because infection just about destroyed my intestons) and took 2 weeks to get over that (a few people at work are still fighting it). Apparently one of the cooks didn't was their hands after using the bathroom, since this particular virus is most commonly obtained from unsanitary water (water contamined with human waste) or food preparers not exercising proper hygene. All of these things were complicated by and is taking longer to recover from due to my diabetes.

I'm going nuts not being able to cut wood, solder XOvers, or do any of the multitude of other activities involved in designing and building speaker systems. That's one of the things I love about this hobby is the encyclopedic knowlege and range of activites involved.

Well, I hope to be able to at least resume my participation in the TechTalk discussion. If nothing else, I can live vicariously through your builds.

QUESTION: Does anyone have a good, economical source of prebuilt cabinets? I like the PE offerings, especially with their B-Rex baffles, but was wondering if there might be another provider that might be a little less costly. Thanks.

Everyone of you great guys take care, and avoid the Swedish Meatballs.

I knew my irrational fear of Swedish meatballs was well founded.
(I'm part Norwegian, but that has absolutely nothing to do with my fear of Swedish things. )

Glad to hear you're on the mend!!!

I've missed seeing you here also, Leonard, hope you get all the way well soon!

+1 on Nik Brewer, I haven't used his services personally, but have heard nothing but good things about it, and he does it for cheap. Only caveat: He does tend to come and go, he can be MIA at times.

PS: Damn. I love swedish meatballs!
You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby,
    I don't wanna live forever,
    And don't forget the joker!
