"Statement Center ll " idea !?

we've been told that the "Statement" series is complete/done but what if ? i just seen an wmtmw with m over t over m centered with w's on the outer ,what if you used the very same drivers and crossover that is used in the mains for this huge center ? damn it i need to quit this .......

You need to quit this, but you're going to bump it anyway . . . yes, you do have it bad.

I doubt the response would remain the same, and depending on the application, may not work at all.

Centers usually sit underneath the TV, or over it, and in many cases, their baffles are flush with the screen.

Again, will there be adequate space behind the speaker cabinet to provide for the open backed mids to couple correctly to the room?

I designed that exact speaker for Frodaddy, and it's in the MA forum at htguide.com. Although my version doesn't use the open back mid and it's sealed. Frodaddy couldn't get the original Statement center, with its open back, to work well in his room. So, we modified the design to match the mains, yet do so in a sealed configuration.
