From MS Paint (assuming you're using Windows), use the "Select All" and "Copy" menu commands, then paste into the SPL trace app.

Or simply hold alt-prt screen. Then the active window is copied into clipboard.

I am with you right up until "paste". where am I supposed to paste it? You cannot right click in SPLtrace to paste anything. Maybe I need spoon fed on this one...

Use the menu command. If the buffer contains data, the option to paste will be enabled.

Re: SPL trace. Will not find my .JPG file
I have tried about everything... the only options in file dropdown is import file, save as, and exit. import file only wants to use clipboard and when I try it, it indicates to copy something to the clipboard even though it is already there.
Is it possible I do not have the software loaded right? Seems to be fine but next to no options with it. I cannot right click anywhere. Really want to get this working but something does not seem to be right..

Re: SPL trace. Will not find my .JPG file
Hah, I got it to do something but image looks rather squashed. I used ctrl+ print screen in paint. Nothing else seems to work...
Also cannot seem to get it cleared out to try another image. Keeps going back to the same image...

I suggest you save the curve as a file then use MS Paint (or another app) to crop just the curve portion that you want to trace. That way the image will not appear "squashed" in the SPL trace app. An alternative is to use a screen capture utility that will allow you to select just a portion of the screen - I use "FastStone capture" and recommend it.
Hope this helps.

Glad you got it working. I was going to ask if you had dual monitors .. that'll overflow the program every time on a prntscrn
