Default Anyone know someplace in the Midwest that can recharge alnico speaker magnets?

I checked with PE's speaker repair, they don't do this. Would like to get some 123A-1 recharged.

Check your local music stores (instruments, not CDs). I live in a relatively small city of 200k and we have a local shop that does magnet recharging and speaker re-coning.

"It hums because it doesn't know the words."

I work at a company that acquired a bunch of Rockford Fosgate's old speaker manufacturing equipment - and along with that came 4 magnetizers. We've had one up and running, it may be possible for us to do it!

    Eric, you have a PM.

Dcibel, I'll call around, thanks for the idea. Wonder if places like Guitar Center do that?

This web site might have some good contacts:
    http://www.recone.com/reconers.htm

Looks like Great Plains Audio provides this service, and there are others: Google "loudspeaker repair remagnetize"

    You might try Weber VST:

    www.tedweber.com

If they can't do it, they'll know who can.
