You shouldn't need to delete the returns (other than the one after the header), there shouldn't be any redundant ones in the OM frd file. The suggestion only came up because in the past there have been cases of where blank lines or (same) several returns in a row have upset some file reading routines.

OK. I got the files. Both of them had an empty line at the top. I deleted that so the file began with the first set of data and both loaded fine afterwards.

I wouldn't take them directly into PCD though. I would "process" them in Response Modeler first by extending the low frequency roll-off, using the Hilbert -Bode extraction, etc. But they should be good to go.

By the way, the files that Response Modeler creates has two header rows at the top and they always load Ok with them present. I'm not sure why some other don't.

Pull your tweeter frd into RM. Turn on the highpass filter transfer function. Select a second order butterworth shape. Then dial in the frequency until it matches up with the roll-off of your tweeter before it begins to flatten out.

You can also raise or lower the level to match whatever sensitivity you want to work in - advertised or otherwise. Make whatever other adjustments you feel are necessary (smoothing, etc.) Save the file. Then extract minimum phase.

Remember, when using minimum phase files always plug your offsets into PCD.

Is this going to be released as an update to OmniMic?

I just had the same issue. I turned on the phase so my exported frd has three columns. PCD won't read it but lspCAD read it fine for now.

my guess is yes. he will have to make it an executable upgrade.
