Default Dayton 105s as auto midbasses?

I'm have a couple of el-cheapo JVC 5.25s that have bit the dust in my rear doors. How well would the 4 ohm Dayton ND105's work in the doors? I would make a 1/2 inch mounting plate for the Daytons and run them crossed over at 60hz as midbasses/rear fill off two channels of an Alpine 50x4 amp. I have Peerless 6.5's in the front doors and Pioneer tweets.

Keep the 82db sensitivity with the 30W power handling in mind. Will they put out enough to keep up with your sub?

You're probably right. I do have another pair of the Peerless 6.5's I could make a baffle for and use.

    lbzdually,
I've used them in doors. It's actually just a Nano-Neo design, with the bass dialed back through the head unit's EQ a bit.

I stuck them in as a cheap way to have something to listen to, and was more worried about light weight than critical listening, but they sound pretty good.

They will not go extremely loud, but they're in a car that has a 79db noise floor. Crosssing at 60hz would be a good idea, but I'm not running a highpass on them, and they still go loud enough for casual listening on the freeway.
