    Default Working with PVC Molding?

..related to my Big Bonehead Array..

I'm building tall speaker grilles (7.5' x 8") out of PVC 1/4 round molding. I couldn't find a single straight piece of wood molding at Lowes.

Has anyone worked with this stuff. I'd like to just use glue to assemble the parts, and I bought PVC (pipe) glue, assuming this would make the best joint, but I'm worried the glue might be too "aggressive" and just melt the material. I could try gorilla glue, or even wood glue - not sure. Any other suggestions??

If no one has any experience, I'll try a few test joints and report back.

Loctite PL Premium in the caulking tube will do the trick...it can be messy though

Try it on a test piece.

I use PVC trim outdoors. Usually use nails and latex caulk. Don’t use PVC glue between PVC and wood it will not hold. PVC to PVC is OK. If this joint is bewtween wood and PVC it is going to show, even indoors because of the difference in expansion and contraction. It's also going to take finsh different than wood.
