Well, I cut a couple of 1cf MTM PE baffles to accept a rear mounted TB 75-1558SE, along with the Peerless 830884 and SEAS 22TFF. Ryan (DoubleTap) and I then cut a chamfer/roundover on the front of the baffle for the TB mid, and took some sweeps of the drivers.

I cannot believe that Peerless woofer is NLA. That thing has really excellent performance, with very low distortion top to bottom. 1% peak around 800Hz and the rest well below .3%, all the way down to below 100Hz. The TB mid, from 600Hz on up has vanishingly low levels of THD, and that particular mounting scheme provides for a response that looks like it already has a bandpass filter applied. It is very well behaved. Same thing can be said for the SEAS tweeter. Above 2000Hz, a very low distortion, very smooth responding tweeter. With the crossover targets we have in mind, this thing should be amplifier-like in its linearity.

I suppose the HDS woofer could make an adequate substitute for the 830884, which would allow for others to make this project. But the cost of that mid might be a bit prohibitive for some . . .
