Re: silverflute, peerles, north center channel
cutting the north tweeter on the tablesaw was nerve wrecking but worked out perfectly. ill take a pick in the morning.

Re: silverflute, peerles, north center channel
thanks, so far, so good.
this morning i added a 3/8 bottom and another top. while i was cranking on the straps, it broke. i make another real quick but this time kerf cuts were employeed. lesson learned. took about 5 min to do this and did not have to crank on the straps. i filled the cuts with pl premium as well as the destination. only used brads at the baffle to prevent slipage.
the peerless is the 830872 4" hds. truncated. i knew when i saw it on the bargain shelve for $5 it had found a home.

Nice mid, and the price was insanely nice

Re: silverflute, peerles, north center channel
Nice work Arlis -- curved work is challenging, but the outcome is gonna be so appealing. Looking forward to more posts...

Re: silverflute, peerles, north center channel
Arlis, your build is coming along great. One suggestion I would make is if your going to do a lot of curved work , invest in a vaccum bag system it will be the best money you have ever spent and you will find more uses for it than you can imagine. R.K.

Re: silverflute, peerles, north center channel
i have seen those but i do really well with the straps. now i know that anything thicker then 1/8 needs a kerf cut.

Uhhh... what about the impedance, you uploaded the same graph twice lol.

Re: silverflute, peerles, north center channel
those two show reverse nulls for the mid and the tweeter. the impedance is up there.

Looks great Arlis! I think if your electrical phase isn't too wonky (technical term ) where your impedance drops down, you should be fine. How's it sound?

Re: silverflute, peerles, north center channel
Arlis, that is outstanding. I like the slight BBC dip and since you need both mid and tweet in reverse, you pulled off a true LR design. Well done!

what do you mean, a true LR
Meaning you hit a good LR target on all the slopes. Well done!
