Find a "test plug" at your local hardware store. They are cheap, easy to add/remove, and the lockdown real tight. They look like this http://suntai999.en.hisupplier.com/p...lar-Plugs.html

Yes, which is why I specified "closed cell foam". A rolled up fabric port plug works well as an aperiodic vent but it does not fully seal the port. It also looks very diy sticking out of the back of a high end speaker.

Mini Nerf footballs work well, from what I hear.

A nerf ball would be the most cost effective solution if I could find one that's the right size. So far I haven't. If anybody does find a 3" nerf ball please post the link.

I checked every store in Houston and cannot find a closed cell foam sock. Where do you get yours? Are they a special order item?

WOW, I just previewed this message and noticed the word I used to decscribe round objects that are often used in sports games has been replaced with asterisks.
