Owens Corning 705 vs Roxul Rockboard 60

I know this has been discussed before, but I'm having a hard time digging up the old threads in my searches.

It's time to order this stuff so I'd like to get your opinions of the two.

The Roxul is much cheaper. Does the 705 have any advantage for the extra price?

I compared the two in depth several years ago, settled on Roxul. Price wasn't a factor.

Semi OT but if you have trouble using the search tool I've found that using google and starting the search with tech talk yields excellent results.

The roxul is denser thus more effective in my experience...

I think you will find that the densities of both are about 6pcf. The acoustic properties are also about the same. Rockboard has the advantage of much lower cost.

How much does the Roxul go for? When I ordered my 703 (I know, not the 705) I was quoted the below price from a distributor. Each box had 12 sheets in it.

703 fsk facing 2x24x48 - 48 square ft/box , $75.89 per box
703 asj facing 2x24x48 - 48 square ft/box , $ 82.23 per box
