Veneer finishing question
Sorry if this has been covered. I searched but couldn't come up with much. I just completed veneering my OS cabinets using paperbacked Maple and Titan DX contact Cement (waterbased, if you didn't know.) I want to get to applying the Waterlox Finish. Do I have to wait? If so, how long? Anxiety is killing me!
Thanks!

Re: Veneer finishing question
24 hours for full bond strength would tend to indicate you should wait that long before finishing.
Caveat, I have not used that particular adhesive but have used others like it.
Don't flood or soak the surface with finish. The first coat should evenly wet the surface, remove excess right away.
When it's dry you'll see an uneven appearance but that's ok and normal for a first coat.
Apply 2 or 3 more coats after the first coat is dry.
