You'll have to preserve the listening axis if you change the layout.

Looks good! Build it! (and post lots of pictures)

What's the cabinet tuned to now?

No it doesn't look so good. Will not sound so good either. There is no reason to modify the TMWW layout of the original.

I would like to know why you think it doesn't look so good or won't sound as good.
This arrangement in fact likely places the M5 closer in CTC to both M6's, than if they were both below. This can lessen the possible comb-filtering effects since this is not a 3.5-way design.

The only issue I see, is the possibility of limited air-flow from the lower woofer to the upper woofer in terms of seen total enclosure volume. This can be an issue, so make the inner chamber unhindering of the larger volume.

Yes--Tell me why it doesn't look good.

I'm going to to the same layout with a slot port cabinet 26" tall.

    I can see this with 2 - 8" Peerless 830869, 1 - 5 1/4" Peerless 832873 and a Vifa XT25tg30-04 maybe even a waveguide on the tweeter. Hmmm...

You may want to revise that particular idea. Typical ear-height is about 34-38" from the floor. Unless you tilt it back, this short tower will be limited in top-end extension, and may not sum at the listening position as intended.

Sorry I missed your question. I didn't model it, I made sure that I had the same volume as the original.. I reduced the front baffle to 9" kept the same height and made the depth 16" ( 2.36 ft3) I believe Paul said it was tuned to 43hz.. I could be wrong, I've memorized alot of data lately.

I am using the three inch precision ports as well.

I trust Paul's designs to be pretty optimized for the drivers involved. I know you have a different philosophy. I also have a personal thing about folks d*cking w/ someone's design, then asking them to ok it/ redo to fit. You don't have to agree.

I get where you are coming from.. I was asking if it was ok because as per his original post over on htguide.com His thread title was ...Swope 3-way (TMWW or WTMW)

Guys, just to clear things up. The Swope 3-way design we're talking about was originally measured and voiced in a WTMW arrangement. It was my idea to turn it into a TMWW arrangement (the one I published). I have tried it both ways. It's kosher. The slot port still exists only in spreadsheet calculations, but I've been working with [kiteflyer] via email. We'll get it.

You don't think my philosophy is to optimize for the drivers involved? That sounds pretty short-sighted.

I never implied that, and the guy asked and got Paul's approval.

    Paul-
    Thanks for the reply.
