Repurposing an amp for shakers?
Short question:
On an amp with A+B, can I run the left channel on A and the right channel on B without any foreseeable issues?
Longer background:
I have an Audiosource AmpThree that will very shortly be sitting idle. 2 ohm stable, plenty of power, A+B capabilities and independent gain controls for the left & right channels.
So, I'm thinking about adding shakers to a chair I've got. I already have 4 in the sofa. I have two more shakers sitting around, and will probably run them in series since there's no point in being mean to the amp and I won't need gobs of output anyway.
4 ohm load sofa, 8 ohm load chair. Big sensitivity mismatch and a big mass mismatch. The AmpThree seems ideal. Then I can enable any combo of A or B while still maintaining independant level control.
