    Overnight Sensations Center Channel

I figured Paul would be on here more than the AVS forum. I built this as my first enclosure build. Overall it wasn't as hard as it seems. I even made my own circle jig (with some help on here). Sounds great with the overnights.

Well, I finished this project tonight after about a solid 2 weeks. The paint and stain was the most frustrating part. Overall it looks "good enough" for now.

    Neat!
If dynamite was dangerous, do you think they'd sell it to an idiot like me?

Looks good. I have an OS MTM as my CC right now but I am considering building one of these because the wide/shallow box design is better suited for my entertainment stand.

Looks good. Ill be building my boxes for my zx spectrum and OS center next week some time. Hope it turns out similar to yours. Planning on doing a 2 day build for the boxes. Day one cut the wood and assemble the zx specturms minus the front baffle and try and do the same for the OS center. Then day 2 finish the front baffle and cut outs and line with foam and such.

Should be an interesting few days lol

Again looks good, love the color

Nice work. Could you post a wider shot of the CC in-place? I'm curious how they look situated near people's TVs.

Nice Build. One question. How much do you need to countersink the driver (countersink depth)?

Do you happen to have the dimensions of the countersink diameter and the speaker cutouts for the B3N and the Hivi tweeter?

The BN3 has a tech sheet on this site with all the dimensions. Basically counter sunk 1/8". Remember to cut the counter sunk whole first. I couldn't find anything on the tweeter. I just measured it by hand. It's like an 1/8" too.

Very nice! Could you give us some dimensions on that enclosure? I’m looking to build something similar. What did you do crossover wise?
                    Thanks!

did you modify the "overnight sensations" x-over for your center channel or did you just add two additional woofers?

Am I correct in assuming you doubled the airspace of the original "overnight sensations" to account for the added two woofers?

Paul's notes are documented in a pdf near the bottom of the page here. the kit is offered as well. One stop shopping as they say. :D

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'm going to be adding two OS MTM towers to my system soon. They should be sweet. I love the Center Channel. The voicing it puts out is fantastic.

Nice build! These look really nice.

What is the ohm load on that Overnight Sensations MMTMM Center? My receiver doesn't like super low loads (the uprights MTMs are 4 ohms) and I'm trying to plan a 5.1 setup that is at 8 ohms if possible.
