rat-rod rat-fur sub-box cut-down

I just picked up a car subwoofer in a heavy homebuilt box at a garage sale for cheap. I don't think there's any possible way to get it into the back seat of my 2-door truck the way it is though.
But if I were to cut it in half and go sealed, I think it would fit.

Any tips on cutting a carpeted box? (Besides "don't do it")

Speaker:
15"x15"x30" approximate outside dimensions. Really heavy. Slot port.
Kicker 12" L7
They recommend 2.0 cu ft max for sealed.

I was able to just barely manage to get it into the back seat without cutting it down.

Tuning sounded odd to me so I stuffed a blanket in the port. I'm pretty happy with how it sounds for how little money I have into it.

Not rat-rod I guess, but my whole setup is pretty impractical, cheap, haphazard, and sleazy.

This was the right answer. If I didn't de-carpet, I wouldn't have found how badly it was glued.
Good new is that it was so poorly glued I was able to cut it down to 2 cu ft, knock it all apart, and really glue it back together.
Sealed, added bracing, and splurged $3 for t-nuts.
Sounds pretty good for $23 total.
