Ahh, this thread reminded me to sell my AE IB15s as well! I have 6 brand new with the phase plug that I'll never get around to using. If someone wanted them from this for sale but missed out shoot me a PM. I'll be going to the Dayton speaker event this year so if you're going I can save you on shipping.

There was a phase plug version! Got pics? Do the spec put the same as the non phase plug version?

^ yea... but IIRC, it was kind of not one of those things readily published. My buddy has a set of the 12's. IB12 + phase plug. I don't think they're the same as the lambda dipole versions. I believe he told me he just asked John to replace the dust cap with a phase plug. They look sweet...

willing to be there's a lot of info on the AE forum if one were so inclined.


FWIW, I bought these. I've been considering building a baffle wall with some large woofers and horns; something with great directivity and the AE's should do well to at least 800-900hz, enough to bring in a large pro-audio JBL or the like to mate with it for HT use. Either that... or I go with a few manifolds placed throughout the room... either that, or I just sell them later when I realize I can't use them. The sickness!

I'll take box measurements when I get home, but I know each box weighs 55lbs. Box is about 16x16x12. Zip is 22303.
