I am so sorry Lou. I only met Bev briefly a couple of times, but between her and the dogs there always seemed to be a lot of love floating around in the house. I will be gone until the 28th, but please don't hesitate to call me if I can do anything to help.

    Best,
    Nick

My condolences, Lou, as well as wishes for the strength you need to continue as she would want. You have always taken the high road and comported yourself as a gentlemen here on TechTalk, while freely sharing your knowlege, projects, experience and advice.

I believe this is a reflection of you as a person and your life as shaped by your relationship with Bev., as we are all deeply and permanently affected by those we choose to share our life with, especially our loved ones.

My condolences Lou. I read this thread and couldn't post right away. I just didn't know what to say. So many people have responded with such kind words. It seems that I couldn't add anything. But I feel as though I must post to let you know that the whole TT community is feeling your loss. My thoughts are are with you.

My condolences as well Lou. I had to make such a decision 20 years ago regarding my mother. Toughest decision I ever had to make. I wish you continued strength moving forward.

My condolences as well. I had to make the decision for our almost-8-year-old son about 19 years ago. He was legally dead according to 2 out of the 3 criteria in the state of Virginia, although his body was still being kept artificially alive. He was a beautiful kid with young healthy organs that other people needed, so for us it wasn't a hard decision.

The hard part is the loss of a loved one and all of the emptiness and hurt and confusion that goes with it. I'm sure you are feeling that with your wife. Please take some comfort in knowing other people here are concerned about you and share your grief.

You're hurting now and you will be very sad and hurt for a long time, but eventually the good/happy memories will take over, leaving you to feel very fortunate to have shared your life with Bev.

Lots of heartache here already... How wonderful that this is such a great, supportive group of guys!

I'm very sorry for this struggle and pain you're enduring. I lost my dad without any indication/warning 9 years ago in September. Thanks for your forethought and advice on the living will; luckily, my mom has that taken care of already, but I'm taking mental note to have a discussion with my wife.

I'll be praying for you and your family this week - that you will be drawn closer to God and each other in this struggle; and that you'd all be reminded of the priority to serve and love one another in the limited time we have on Earth.

    Be blessed,
    Scott
