JBL tweeter above or beside horn?

Any comments on tweeter location?
JBL often put this tweeter beside the mid horn instead of above it.
XO point will be 7-8khz.

Which layout would you go with?

I like the driver center-line alignment. Can't say I have a sound-related reason for it. Of course mirror-image baffles always look cool.

how about actually built into the outside half of each horn, it will end up with a more towed in focus and be closer to the center of the mid horn center

I think i'll go vertical, i always have with small speakers. I'm just a bit tempted to do a split grill for a bit more style.

I have the components. Hope to start the cabinets in July.

I really like those, especially the double woofer, but my cabinet making skills are limited to six sided boxes.

Had another thought, what about the tweeter on top? This would cut down on height & bulk of the box.

Hmmm... Wonder if I will like this idea in a week from now?
