Re: show us who you are, been here an age and know the old timers.. show us your pic
Figured I would throw in a shameless pic of my best buddy also. He was about 1.5 years old in that pic. He is almost 3 now. Absolutely the best dog I have ever met. He has not barked in 3 years, he does not know how to growl and he is scared crapless of anything that shows agression- even squirrels.
We also have 2 cats in the house, they keep Jameson in line pretty darn well.
One of their names is Mama Huggins. We adopted her with that name and it stuck. She is the queen, 5 years old and getting younger by the day.
The other cat is Lil' Frigger. He is like the Indiana Jones of the feline world. He likes to take naps in the fridge or freezer.
Now that I have an IMGUR account, can anybody PM me the directions on how to directly post a pic into the thread without it being an attachment?
Yes, I am forum Illiterate.

I'll play along. I'm Marc (the M behind Werner). I'm 32, and I have been an audio enthusiast for many years, but just recently decided to make an attempt in the DIY community. I have 12+ years of experience with trouble shooting and repair of electronics. 6 years Navy ET, 6+ years Kodak field tech. I am also passionate about my Artwork, been drawing since I could hold a pencil.

Considering how great the breed is, I'm not surprised at the Lab ownership. This is my hundred pounder "Garlits". And yes, we gave him the old couch.....

Now that is a Big Daddy!
shawn
P.S. And you do not give Labs furniture. They merely appropriate it for their uses. Which usually are for being something Labs are known for and that is being a couch potato when there isn't something really neat to check out.

Benchtester, a.k.a Eric Edwards:
I'm on the left listening to Jack Hidley (of NHT fame) at Burning Amp 2009. It's a great DIY get-together in S.F. The majority of the projects are probably amps and sources, but there are many loudspeakers as well.
Back in the day, I raced bicycles, mostly road racing but some track racing. Attached is a picture of me leading the pack at the Encino Calif. track (250 meters, 27 deg. banking).
And last but not least is my furry pal: Buffy (the Vampire). We are both getting grey; she used to have a black muzzle and black eye shadow. She would make a great goalie; it's nearly impossible to get a soccer ball past her.

OK I'm 63 and since my prostate surgery in 06 I've been falling out of speaker building. Between the ringing in my ears having gotten worse post surgery and having more speakers around the house than I can use plus the kids and friends don't want any more I devote my time to other things.
Second bridge across creek was necessary because the sunshine of my life didn't like having to back track on her trails to cross the original bridge. With a span of 32ft and the almost 700lb ATV it deflected less than a 1/4 inch. That's the old bridge, new one is 35ft and that's the one I'm sitting on.
Then there's this
Plus I've rediscovered the .22LR rifle wonderful therapy, refer to it as male needlepoint ;-)

Real name is Joseph. Handle comes from many many moons ago...a story not worth telling. No pics of me, but one of my two furballs. They're littermates and the apple of my eye.

had an ex who had labs...they're a little too high strung for me, and the shedding was suprisingly bad. give me a good ol' mutt....
Jasper (with the santa hat) passed in 2009 at 11 yrs old after a 6 month battle with congestive heart failure. we lost clancy (out on the deck) at 13 in 2011 from arthritis, and losing control/feeling of his hind quarters....got to the point where I had to carry all 70+ lbs of him up and down the stairs, he just had no strength left in his hind legs, and he had lost about 20% of his weight (was typically 85 lbs, I think he was down to ~65 when we had to put him down)
they were collie, shepherd, retriever and husky mix, and pound puppies

Wayne, just turned 52, (sometimes called Grizzly) just celebrated our 32rd anniversary. Have 4 children, 32 B, 30 B, 28 G and our youngest 22 B just moved out, empty nesters now and 3 grandchildren!
Hobbies are making furniture, any woodworking in general, cooking, camping and family gatherings.
Still have all my original audio equipment that I bought in 1978 a Yamaha CT-610 Tuner a Yamaha CA-1010 AMP and the Sansui SP-X8000 speakers (shown in my avatar) plus an Akai AP-100c Turntable. Over the years I picked up the following equipment and alternate once in a while, a Yamaha C6 natural sound pre-amp as well a Yamaha RX-300u natural sound receiver, a Pioneer VSX-604S receiver and a JVC-RX550V receiver, my main CD player a Techniques SL-P170 a Cho Denki TT-1000 and lastly another Akai AP-B1 turntable.
My listening tastes in music consist of mostly music from the mid 60’s and 70’s and mid 80’s.
I joined PETT a few years ago when the misses said its time to downsize the old Sansui’s and I dreaded looking at the plastic junk that’s out there!
I have all the makings for 7 different speakers, physio/rehab is currently preventing me from using tools at this time, once this is over then the fun will begin
Since additional furry family members are being mentioned, here’s my Panda, she recently turned 12, and she’s a Shih Tzu/Bichon cross.

My grandson Ilia and I a couple months ago. The highlight of my life was as a single parent raising my two daughters. Both went to college on full ride volleyball scholarships. One has a Masters and the other a Bachelors. Both have traveled all over the world at their own expense. One was Miss New York USA 2010 and the other works for Citicorp in Manhattan. I am very proud of both.

The Hawk was one sweet motorcycle! I was fortunate enough to ride one during my time club racing here in the NW. Once at a track day at the old SIR in Kent, WA (now Pacific Raceways) and a short stint on the way to Mt. Rainier on Hwy. 7 between LaGrande and Alder Lake. Amazing road through that section, like a mini Dragon's Tail. I really wanted one of those after that ride! Hard to find, though, but worth it. Great pics Rich, thanks!
