    Default Kewl computer speakers project!

Not sure anyone remembers the 2.25" aluminum buyouts from a while back , they sold them out at like $2.00 ea. after I had already picked up 4 , so I picked up another 4 and put them with a tweeter I bought at Apex jr. for a buck each around ten years ago!
All cross-over parts are scavenged from my extra parts box , and even the veneer is extra from another project.
These sound fairly good , especially for what I have invested in them. Some wicked routering was required for the front baffle , I needed to make breathing grooves as the holes in the woofer would have been covered almost completely by the baffle.
I used 3/8" MDF throughout , approximate volume is 1.7L , they are veneered in Maple and I used Satin black paint on the front , these look classy IMHO!

Wicked cool project man. I have a plethora of scavenged mini drivers like that and this thread makes me want to put them to use!!! Inspiration!!!

A sub is needed to fill in the bottom few octaves , but they are decently listenable without a sub. The drivers have an aluminum cone and are now considered unobtainium! Thanks for the positive comments.
