Dremel

I had two of the cordless dremel tools, my brother gave me one as a gift. When it quit working I bought a second one to see if it was the unit or charger. Well that one quit also, so I tossed them both in a box and forgot about them. That was a year or so ago, last week I found the box and for grins I sent it to dremel. In less than a week I got them back fixed and no charge. I'm impressed.

You can pretty much build an entire pair of speakers with them if you don't need roundovers, and for 80 bucks, its a pretty good deal. However a replacement cutting tip is $20 which I find to be a little excessive. Still a good tool nonetheless

That's good to know. I used to use Dremels a lot to make circuit boards and amps--they are nice, but I've worn out and destroyed probably 4 of the medium-sized tools over the years. They tend to choke cutting heatsinks and chassis openings. Kind of an art knowing when to stop and let it cool before the smoke starts pouring out

I've got one of those lithium ion stylus tools and the Trio. The stylus Dremel is nice for the really small stuff. The Trio is a very good tool for heavier stuff--you can use it as a small router and put metal cutting blades in it for shop work. They are nice tools and that warranty makes them a no-brainer to recommend.
