Default Car amp for desktop speakers

Since the various T-amps run on DC, what's the difference? Car amps have integrated crossover networks, big + for me.

PC, DAC, car amp, speakers. Viola!

Car amps typically require tons of current...but for a small desktop set up a low power amp and a decent power supply might do. Some folks use PC power supplies.

I use a Monsoon amp outta Pontiac Grand-Am. It has a built in xover and I run it off a 3amp power supply. Plenty for a desktop/computer system.

I just ordered a 20amp power supply from eBay. Is there any keyword to look for when buying a 12VDC power supply? Regulated?
