Well that's great and all, but you're using more energy to power the speaker at, what MAYBE 1% efficiency, than the 2 bulbs spinning could ever produce.

    But it is neato

Pretty cool stuff. I agree though that the energy used isn't worth the outcome.

I'd be interested to find out why they only want to rotate counter clockwise. At first I thought that it was just the tension of the wire/string being used, but sure enough they stopped rotating clockwise and reversed when he tried the 2nd time. Hmm...

He said it is because of the opening where the hook would normally attach. If look closely, you can see that when it is spinning, they are at the back providing the propulsion.

Perhaps we could use the earths natural resonating frequency to power things. If I remember correctly it is around 7hz.

    Smart & Smart!

No, while I may from time to time post some crazy theoretical free energy device, this one was just a "ooo that's cool" moment...
Like the first time I saw this:

If you ever get caught in a blizzard with some friends and happen to have:
    1 part water
    1 part tapioca flour
    1 part corn starch
    some food coloring
a big table or a speaker
and some free psychedelics from a random DJ you've never met on his way to a show in Richmond

it can be a fun project LOL
