    Default Overnight Sensation question

For a finished OS, what is the ohm load? 8? 4?......Im trying to run this on a Harmon Kardon AVR25II or AVR70. Should I have issues?

The reciever(s) are out in my workshop. I suspect they are tripping off on overheat protection. It is not air conditioned. May be just too damn hot ambient conditions. The cheaqp lepai has no issues.....but it aint no HK if ya catch my drift!

Yep. Maybe you can look into a Class D amplifier, they operate much cooler and have way more power than a Lepai. In fact, I've read that some tube guys really like the ClassD Audio amplifier sound.

The lePai should have no issues, I am running a pair of OS with tte LEPAI and no issues at all. Even the thread bare Dayton DIY 15W amp is fine with the OS.

That sounds fishy. The OS are a pretty easy load. Does the HK run other speakers fine?

I run an even older Harman AVR20 in my garage. It has been just under 100 degrees for 2 weeks, the receiver is loaded with sawdust and fiberglass.... running a 3way speaker with below a 4ohm nominal load and the amp performs stunningly. I would suspect you may have some other electrical gremlins troubling your amp.
I also have a CD player directly on top of the HK, so there is very minimal airflow. This unit has always run very cool for me in the past.

My dad's shop before we just did the insulation and drywall last week, would get up to 160* during the middle of the day.
