What is the best small tweeter $200 can buy?

3. prefer 90db or more 93-95db is best

Now, the Neo3PDR could be used sans faceplate, but it's still slightly larger than your requirements.

You know Dave, you'll be sitting only about 1' away from the near tweeter, and max 4' from the other. There's really no need for a 93dB tweeter. 85-90dB/W would be more than enough to cause permanent hearing loss with only a 50W amp driving them. That certainly opens up the field to a few more excellent tweeters that have great SQ, even though they don't meet your 90dB minimum.

I thought you said planar / ribbons could not handle the vibration in a car, which sounds weird since they create vibration , I like that last SEAS Prestige 27TFFNC/G (H1396) 1" Textile Dome Tweeter you suggested , but the Neo3PDR might be an option if I can get someone who knows how to blend it into my dash with some minor fabrication

I'd shy away from most ribbons in a car environment, as sometimes even a gust of wind can cause the element to wrinkle. But the Neo3 is a different animal.

+1 as far as 1" domes go, but personally I'd try to go a bit bigger and push the crossover lower, at the cost of very high frequencies. Something like a scanspeak 10F or a Planet 10 /Fostex FF85wKeN
