Dummy Loads?
I have nice old pair of 16ohm mid bass drivers. The off-the-shelf crossover wants to see an 8ohm load, so what's the best way to do this? Put a 16ohm dummy load in parallel? Would a 16ohm wire wound resistor do the job (if it was rated with enough wattage)?
Thanks.

Re: Dummy Loads?
What's the specs on the crossover. More than likely, the 1st and/or 2nd order slopes would only cost you a couple bucks from PE to match your driver(s)

That would not be a very good solution! You need to give much more information to get a meaningful answer.

When the only tool you have is a hammer, all problems start to look like nails.
Some people collect stamps, Imelda Marcos collected shoes. I collect speakers.
