Vifa DX25 tweeter faceplate problem.
Alright, so I'm rebuilding my Amiga speakers. I removed my drivers from the old cabinets and everything was going fine until I realized that the screw holes in the tweeter faceplates are depressed, keeping the tweeters from sitting flat against the baffle. Should I try to get new faceplates for the tweeters or will they be ok? Any help is appreciated.

I'd probably file it a little bit leaving enough for the tweeter to be held in place when a screw is in the hole. Also I'd use speaker gasket tape under the tweeter to make sure you don't have a void for air to pass from underneath the tweeter.

Additionally you can drill a small recess in the area underneath. I would not go through the expense and hassle of obtaining new face plates.
.
When the only tool you have is a hammer, all problems start to look like nails.
Some people collect stamps, Imelda Marcos collected shoes. I collect speakers.

You may want to try a c clamp and see if you can push the recessed part back up flat. I would put tape or even a small block of wood on the face side so you don't mark it. I'd bet if it got pushed out that easy by a screw it should go back in pretty easy.

So, put a small countersink in? That sounds pretty smart.

I clamped the depressed parts and it helped. If i file them a bit or put a very small countersink, they will fit snug. thank you.
