    Hi Crew:

I'll add details as I go but want to get on people's calendars- I'll be clearing out a LOT of gear at very reasonable prices. Mostly drivers. Lot of JBLs, one GIANT 4x12" sub, many other things (details to follow within the next day or two. Basically, I'm taking Thurs+Fri off next week to clear things out, so thurs, fri, sat I'll be home working on things. PM me for address/contact (don't want to put it online) and will start posting details, pics, impedance sweeps for the loot. If there are things you need, feel free to ask, I may have them but not have gotten around to documentation.

Bourbon tasting you say? I might could arrange such a thing. I'm taking that thurs/fri off work to manage this, though, so I'd better take care not to start tippling too early. I figure I'll be hanging out, people can drop in during reasonable hours (say 9AM-9PM) and hang out for music, a drink, and audio geekery as long as they want, picking up loot if they so desire. I'm planning to get some loot listed w/pics tonight.

Are you willing to ship any thing or is it just for pick-up?

I'll be basing my discounted pricing on pickup only, but can ship at closer to "fair" market pricing if there's a must-have item(s) for you. No doubt we can work something out. For example, LE8Ts in working order fetch 500-600 bucks with some regularity. For the right fan, and not having to stress about shipping damage or someone having an unrealistic expectation of these 70 year old drivers, I'd take $300. If I had to ship, I'd probably ask somewhere in the middle- 400ish (these are unobtanium so maybe not the best example, other drivers will be more discounted). I have a 10" NHT sub driver, some 4" vifa neo coaxes, some 32 ohm fullrangers and mylar tweeters, and other jazz- that stuff's all free for pickup (forum member pickup) but I wouldn't want to ship (at all, but particularly not for free).

Basically for valuable stuff I'm thinking somewhere on the order of 50-60% of epay value for pickup, maybe 75% shipped, but for less valuable/harder to sell items, I'll discount further. This is meant to clear space for me, so everything's negotiable, and after Saturday ends I'll probably put up what's still hanging around.

One piece I'm struggling with- I have a quad of beautiful JBL custom systems, in weatherized (fiberglass) boxes, with the 2426h driving a square-flanged variant of http://www.ddshorns.com/ENG%201-90%20pro.pdf , midwoofs are JBL 2206h with a thin weatherizing coating. I got a steal on them, but am not sure how I'd value them and would love offers, I figure they're $400-500 a pair easy given the high-falutin' parts involved (75 per driver/horn with free cabs and crossovers is a pretty great deal for what are currently about $1100 new worth of drivers/horns per cabinet.) Basically they're a geddes style speaker with a home (sound quality prioritized) design. The only issue they have is a lip on the box, which protects the drivers, but is a diffraction source, and for true hifi use, you'd want to trim it off. There will be pics!

That's some of the higher priced stuff, though. $200 should get you a pair of JBL LSR305s in lovely red, used only for review, with all packaging and such. Low discount, but easy to flip for 200 on CL if needed. My giant (10+ cu ft, 4x12") sub, I'll probably ask $200 too as it's nearly impossible to sell outside of these audiences (I'm active on a couple other forums and am posting there too).

I'm hoping my place will be hopping, and again, my drive is more to clear gear than recoup cost, so I'm willing to be a little flexible as needed.

www.jeffpoth.com has some pics and impedance sweeps.

              Of what's shown there:
Motorola receiver/DVD player. This dealie has tripath amps, I've modded one to be just the amp section and it's very strong. The processor is going on this unit. Free.
Vifa Coaxes. $5/pair, new, M&K OEM parts
Eminence Magnum 15HO- this has a non-working brother (amp blew and took speaker with it) but is in perfect order. Recycle his brother and you have a top of the line pro-style sub driver for $30, with a really cool 4" aluminum heatsink/phase plug.
Coral 1.5 way system- 6.5" and dome tweeter. These are alnico beauties, with the old school protective grilles, great drivers, close matching, replacing the caps would be wise, but they're in great shape. Corals were very good sounding drivers, $30 for the pair
Great March 2 Dac- great dac but has sound drop-out (and had an RCA sleeve break off). Free, probably just needs a power supply part replaced
10" NHT sub. Free. New. Yours.
Sony 32 ohm drivers. Free. Yours.
              Mylar Tweeters. Free. Yours.
Tube caddy. Some good stuff in here, most are tested with some significant life left, $50 (right click on slideshow to view image closer)
Eminence APT80 pair. Lightly used, soldered, $25
Roku M500 with M1000 (upgrade) display. A great little UPNP audio player that's very cool looking. Worked last time I used it. $25. (silver tube looking device)
Heil crossovers (used with AMT tweeters). Some air core coils on this thing. Free. Yours.
JBL 122A pair, modified to heck for experimentation, but good cores on hard to find drivers. They're for recone only, $50 pair

A lot more to come, hopefully I can get a few more posts worth of gear up, it takes forever! But I have a boatload of things available.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the switches or the AVO tube tester, both are pretty valuable to the right audience. I will be accepting offers.

                      Heya Hong:

First, let's coordinate when you're coming! I'm doing this for three full days. Second, no need to provide anything- if you want to bring some music to give an ear to that'd be fine, but I figure we can play mealtimes by ear (there's a solid pizzeria on the corner) and I'll provide food/drink. You're such a great host, no need to provide anything as a guest

During these three days, I'll be hanging out at home, people can drop in during reasonable hours (say 9AM-9PM) and hang out for music, a drink, and audio geekery as long as they want, picking up loot if they so desire. I'm planning to get some loot listed w/pics tonight.

JBL stuff goes, here's a few: 2404h-1 pair (working, some horn-finish shortcomings), LE8T pair (working) LE8T-H pair (working, one cone has some repair but it's performing as-appropriate), 2213 pair (perfect working order, some discoloration on the white lansaplas) 123A-3 pair (VERY clean), LSR305s (practically NIB), 4638 cabs (new, one with a few storage scuffs), some custom systems (4) with DDS ENG90 waveguides, 2426h, 2206h. These are weatherized, so a fiberglassed cab, and a light coating on the 2206h.

Non-JBL, along with many other things, there's a 4x12" massive sub in a stealthy "Coffee Table" cabinet that will require a couple strong backs and a pickup truck to move, that'll probably be $200.

                            What is this "may" business?

Bump for loot! And chili dogs. Looks like I'm making some chili on valentine's and picking up some weenies to put beneath it.
