  • FS: 2 x JBL W15GTI MKII. Shipped or Pickup in Los Angeles.

I have for sale two JBL W15GTI MKII subwoofers. These have been my primary subwoofers for a few years, but circumstances change and I have to go smaller. They are extremely good units with a unique motor structure that makes bottoming nearly impossible. If you like to push your drivers hard, these are the units you've been waiting for!

You can read more about the motor technology here.

Both were mounted in a non-smoking household and are in perfect condition. I even have the unused original mounting screws and paperwork for one of the drivers!

I have the original box for one driver, but not the other. I am willing to ship both, but pickup is preferred.

Asking $550/ea, OBO. Will sell as pair or individually.

    Thanks everyone!

PS. In one of the images you'll see a speaker box in the top left corner. Can anyone guess the model?

No, but you do get a consolation prize: the mounting screws and the paperwork!

      Thanks, I appreciate it!

I have the same sub for my home theater - just one. My room is 14'x24' - and one sub was more than enough for that space. I believe mine is in a 6.5cubic feet enclosure and I get near flat frequency response down to the 15hz.

        Truly a killer sub.

            Thanks for the comment!

One couldn't possibly be enough for the room. ;)

One of my top two subwoofers I've owned, it's the 1B to my current 1A subwoofer, the CSS SDX15. GLWS.

Thanks for the comment, Scott! In what alignment do you have the W15?

I ran mine in a fairly small sealed enclosure in a car. I believe it was 2.0 cubic feet. Played extremely well in that enclosure.

Relevant to these subwoofers, I have a freakishly overbuilt sealed 15" box currently being used for a different subwoofer that would be perfect for one of these. It's two layers of 3/4" MDF, and too heavy for me to physically lift it by myself. 3.6cf / 102 liters volume, dimensions are 19.5" wide 21" deep and 24" high. I'm in zipcode 90042, near Pasadena.

PM me if interested - perhaps one can get one of the very best 15" subwoofers and a commensurately excellent box!

The short list of 'why not' is that I am just now getting back to work after a knee replacement last summer (financial reasons) and of course being a condo dweller whose neighbors don't need the 16 Hz @ 93 db. That's the adult in me speaking up but the child in me pouts perpetually. Good thing you live on the other coast and the shipping expense is something else I can count up as money to be spent responsibly. I actually just had a conversation with the g/f where she was saying to buy the subs and I had to be the grown up: not my favorite role.
