I have found it difficult to get good money on DIY speakers. The general public doesn't recognize their value,

People pay extra to have their products mass produced, AKA made cheap.
Somewhat comical; tells you a lot about people.
But on the other hand, a DIY speaker has to be made very well to be worth just the retail cost of the drivers new.

and enthusiasts build their own.

Yes, I could build my own, but it can take a long time.
It's actually much faster for me to drive to Minnesota.
I need protective grills, so I have to make my own.
Actually most if not all speakers need protective grills, in my humble opinion.
I guess you can build an amp with no cover also.

The cost of the drivers for the left and right channel today would be
RAAL ribbons ~$1,400
Midranges ~$750
Woofers ~$700

I only have the boxes for the ribbons. Not sure how to ship the other drivers if there was interest.
