If like to sell all three together. They'd make a great lcr. But I'd be willing to sell a pair and then part out the third.

    On wall is an option.
CJD was asked and replied: "The in-wall should work on-wall. In fact, on-wall may be a little less bass emphasized. With such a short (depth-wise) cabinet the difference will be minimal, though you'll get a different diffraction profile."

http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthr...l=1#post460052 you could make the box wider and shallower.

Chris, thanks for the kind words. They are an amazing speaker. I was lucky to have your collaboration.

I'm hoping they go to a good home and live on.

Aww, sad to see these go! One of my favorites, they sounded so much better than expected. Taught me some things.

IMO worth the drive. But I'm biased...

I tried to price them to make it worth your time.

They really are amazing speakers. You wouldn't regret it if you had the right wall to put them in. I'm sure if you ask around there are people here who've heard these or other CJD designs and can vouch for them. I personally debated a long time between building a wall, putting these behind a screen as my mains and getting rid of my Khanspires, versus keeping the Khans up front and getting rid of these. In the end it was the TV the made the decision as I went with an OLED TV over a projector. So these have just been collecting dust for a few years.

I can ship all the parts pretty easily and you can build your own boxes. - that's sort of what I'm expecting from whomever.

Or just come get them. It's only a 5.5 hour drive - I've done that several times for work since covid started. It's nice to get out of the house, turn off the emails and phone and just drive.

  • FS: (3) In-Khan-Neto Speakers - 3-way In Wall Speakers $75/ea - Chicago

    SOLD!

I moved and no longer have the same basement layout. So, I've decided to sell my DIY In-Khan-Neato speakers.

These are amazing PE RS28/RS150/RS180 3-ways. They are articulate, clean sounding with shockingly strong bass for a sealed alignment. Crossover were done by CJD off of in-box measurements. These speakers were demoed at DIY Chicago to great reviews. When built, the sound quality would easily compete against retail speakers costing $1000+. These would be perfect for a front three behind a screen in a custom room. I'm still using and loving the matching Khanspires and Khancenter.

Here is the original design thread:http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthr...150-RS28-3-Way
    And archived here:https://www.divine-audio.com/in-khan-neatos/

Boxes are built like a tank and heavy at 33# each. But they not furniture quality since were intended to be inside a false wall.

Originally, the internal speaker parts were $211/each + box materials and many hours of loving labor. I mostly want to see these go to a good home where they would be loved. I'd like to get $75/each + packaging + shipping.

I'd prefer a local Chicago pick-up. I also have all the original driver boxes and can pack and ship just the internal parts and let you build your own boxes to fit your wall. I am willing to ship the entire speaker if you pay for the UPS or FedEx store to pack and ship (which will be expensive, but still probably a better deal than you can get buying retail speakers).
