They seem interesting, but unfortunately, they are 5.5 hours away. Hopefully, they don't end up in the firepit.

Madisound did not do the design and I often thought they crossovers did need tweaking. Regardless these need to go to make room for the Sonus Faber Olympica III’s that are on their way.

I listen to the midrange on an almost daily basis out in my garage. I modified it to have a larger rear chamber - I lost some low end extension in the process, but gained a much easier to manage impedance peak.

Those are some great drivers - I imagine Madisound did the crossover? If so, they used to fail to include sufficient compensation for baffle step losses - that might be contributing to the lack of low end satisfaction. Those woofers are very capable of playing low. Might be worth re-visiting the crossover. They are beautiful speakers and if I was in a position to do so, I would have them headed my way already.

I am finally moving on from this project and am parting with my beloved Bubinga veneer speakers. There are a three way design but I do t recall all the driver brands used. The mid ranges are MB Quarts. The veneer has held up great since I built these about a decade or so ago. There are no real scratches, dings or dents to speak of.

The performance of these speakers only really disappoints me in the low end. The upper range has quite good sound stage and imaging. I was going to try some different woofers and or some internal cabinet reconfiguration but life has since gotten in the way.

$500 with local pick up in West Islip NY. I will deliver up to 50 miles on Long Island.

I do have a custom wood road case built for these if you want them shipped via freight. I suggest freightquote.com. To look up rates. I’ll get the measurements of the road case and see if I can get the weight.
