I had intended to use them to build the line array that Roman put together. I never got around to it. Here's the thread:

    More info:

Roman posted a parts list somewhere for the tweeter and crossover he used in that project. Shouldn't be too hard to find it through either of those threads.

Also someone came out with a design called "The Little Brits" using an inexpensive cone tweeter. They were supposed to sound pretty good with a laid back sound. I don't recall who designed these, I only remember that the x-over was extremely simple, using a 1mH inductor and a cap (+ resistor?).

I think Roman made an array with these that I heard in Brooklyn a few years ago. He did a mod with a little 'damping' on the baskets which can ring just a bit with their thin metal construction. He got them sounding pretty good as I recall. Could be a LOT of sound for not much cash.

Do you have any spec's for them? (Part numbers . . .)

    Might make a nice array?

I noticed the box on the bottom leeched some condensation from the basement floor. I flipped it over, opened it up, and checked the drivers. They're all still in mint, brand-new condition with no signs of corrosion or water whatseover.

Sony Buyout 5" Drivers - Two Cases

Back in 2011/2012, I bought two cases of these Sony Buyout drivers. Would like to simply get my money back. They're all new, never used, never run on anything. They were $0.97 each new, so I'd like to get $50 for the two cases. There are 48 drivers in all. Buyer pays shipping via UPS (PM me with your address for a quote).

Located in Northwest Indiana if you want to come pick them up yourself. Selling as we're moving and I don't care to take them with me as I won't have time to use them any time soon.

Working...
