  • For Sale: (2) Dayton APA 150s

I got two dayton apa 150(s). I've owned them for about a year and its time for me to upgrade (Emotiva UPA-5). I had three. One used and the other two that have seen five minutes play time if that. I've already sold the used one for $60+shipping. I'm asking $75+shipping each for the other two. The amps weigh 13lbs each. I normally ship through the post office and you can calculate the shipping cost on their website for the total.

The dayton apa 150 is on sale @13% off brand new for $139.
This is a pretty good deal so send me a message if you're interested. I'll handle the insurance cost.

    Thanks,

Here are a few pics of the Daytons aAPA 150s. I forgot to include the power cord in the picture but it's included as well.

How loud is the fan? One of these might be perfect for me.... but I sure won't tolerate no steenkeeng fan noise!

<<edit>> Scratch that, PE reviews say it's quiet and often doesn't run. You have PM<</edit>>

I might propose a trade for the damaged amplifier(s?) I could probably fix 'em. :D

Fortunately I was able to tighten the loose post and repair the power switch. USPS is actually paying so this works out quite well on my end.

Being ignored when you're trying to resolve this sort of thing really gets my goat. I'm a pretty reasonable guy, wasn't asking for a full refund or the like, I really don't mind that much. I took pics, etc....Suffice to say this fellow won't be doing business with me again.

                      Update:

As of today the claim has been approved. Awaiting the check from the postal service to send to you by way of paypal. Seems like the pics worked afterall. Again sorry for the long wait...

It took a while but the USPS has finally sent me the check. I will send you an email when I paypal you your full refund. Expect a drop in your account early next week. It took some time, but this definitely beats a partial payment. These amps were my first sale and I don't want anyone here thinking I do bad business. My word is my bond. By the way, did you get that button fixed?

On the fans: The fan in the APA150 virtually never runs, but when it runs, it runs at high speed only (still very quiet). I once hooked one side of my APA150 up to a driver with dual 2-ohm voice coils with the coils wired in parallel for a 1 ohm load on that channel during a quick test run on a woofer I purchased, and the fan did activate after a few minutes of excursion testing, but I have never had the fan activate while listening even at high volumes to some 4-ohm speakers I routinely use.
                              Best Regards,
