  • FS in Los Angeles: subwoofer, subwoofer cabinet, oscilliscope, KEF bookshelfs...

    Hello,

    Consolidating a lot of stuff:

$77 firm: OneAC MD1102 medical grade 2.2A isolation transformer

Picked up a JBL LSR6312SP studio 12" subwoofer - unfortunately with a blown amplifier. These have the really nice neodymium differential-drive motors that JBL does so well - though in an awkward 2 ohm impedance (driver is the 252F). T/S parameters here: http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...l=1#post142107

Here's what it came out of: http://www.jblpro.com/www/products/r...ries/lsr6312sp

Dust cap is ripped, will do $85 firm for it with the factory enclosure OMG FREE???!!!! Pickup in Los Angeles, of course. If you just want the driver - because of the neo motor, it's actually freakishly lightweight, so wouldn't be terrible to ship. CONUS only, sorry international friends.

    Have a nice Tannoy in-wall subwoofer, the dual long-throw 6.5" IW 62TS. $85 firm.

    Subwoofer (dual 6.5" cast-frame woofers):

OneAC MD1102 medical grade 2.2A isolation transformer, $73 firm.

Bought a Class D Audio CDA-1000 kit with the upgraded 600VA transformer to run bridged into two channels of subwoofers. Ended up getting a Yamaha pro-audio amp before I even opened up the box - so I have it for sale, still unopen from when I bought it, for the same $250 plus shipping that I paid.

    Amp module link:

Build log of a 4 channel amplifier based on this kit (with the normal 400VA tranny):
    http://www.facstaff.bucknell.edu/esa...rroundAmp.html

Contains two CDA-254 modules and one large power supply. Each CDA-254 is good for
    125 @ 8 ohms stereo
    250 @ 4 ohms stereo
    or
    500 @ 8 ohms mono

Exodus Audio PR18 18" passive radiator, cast frame, with mass kit: $55

Probably more stuff I forgot about.

    All are local-pickup-only.

    cheers,
-Tal, who is trying to simplify his life and reduce the amount of stuff he has

Can you give some more details on the "good set of probes" for the scope?

How heavy is the scope? I live in NorCal but probably need to ship anyway.

          Pictures

          Hello all,

I'll try to get pictures of the requested items this week. Been really busy writing a paper for school that's due soon.

          Thanks,
          -Tal

One of two Standesign racks I have for sale (I FINALLY found a rack I like. Life would be so much easier if one wasn't particular.)

Shelves are adjustable, and the rack is deceptively solid, despite the cantilevered support beams. I'd put the heaviest thing at the bottom, and not worry about the rest. People I bought it from had a fairly heavy CRT TV at the top shelf!

                Asking $50.

The other Standesign rack is not adjustable, and is a much more normal (fixed shelf spacing) 4-legs-and-a-platform that is modular - I have four shelves for it (3 shelf units and the base). Asking $50 for that one, and $90 if you take both - think of the possibilities!

                Cheers,
                -Tal

FS in Los Angeles: subwoofer, subwoofer cabinet, JBL LSR-32, KEF bookshelf/center

have a pair of JBL LSR-32 speakers that I'm mulling selling. There are VERY few commercial speakers I consider really exemplary, but these are one such beast.

Was using as a reference against the speaker design I'm working on, but I fear that having them is making me put off putting together my own speakers.

Would accept $650 for the pair, firm. The tweeter is pushed in on one of them (sigh) but still sounds good.

                  cheers,
                  -Tal

Updated original post, and would sell the JBL LSR-32s for $600. Having them is preventing me from building my own DIY reference speakers - they're not easily bettered.

                      cheers,

                          Just added:

Squeezebox Duet Receiver (just the receiver; was using my phone to control it) - $85 local, $100 shipped CONUS. Been exlclusively using Squeezebox as a music source for some 7 years now - just upgraded to a SB Touch.

                          Also:
Dead KRK V6 bi-amplified studio monitor - $30. Might be an easy fix? Or not.

I do, but would rather not ship... have had some less-than-perfect experiences with shipping delicate speakers lately.

                              Thanks, and apologies,
