  • Spl level

I've been taking measurements with my amp set at the same volume I used with holm impulse. It reads about 80 DBS on my graphs. I had a problem with either omni mic or my laptop. I had unplugged the mic USB to take my laptop somewhere else and came back and when I plugged it back in the mic wouldn't record. I have a feeling I used a different USB port. Anyway I shut down and restarted. Omni mic had me reset the recording to 48000 Hz. For some reason I am now recording around a 100 DBS. My amp is set the same and the volume level seems the same. Is there an adjustment for this? Could using a different USB change the recording level that much.
Appreciate any help. I like keeping my recording level the same since I do a lot of comparing graphs.

I don't think it would be a speaker setting since the db level is pretty accurate. Now a mic level sounds right. I couldnt find any settings in omni mic so I'm assuming you are referring to my laptop. I did not check for that. I'll have to look for one.
      Thanks

I found the microphone level adjustment. It was set at 33. Running a test tone and lowering the adjustment I had to take it down to 1 to make it match up to a saved fr of a different set up. That seems awfully low but I don't know what level it has been at. I'll have to set up a driver that I have measurements for and see if it matches up perfectly.

Dave, I believe that 1 is the mic setting for omnimic.
