You will also need a pre amp with phantom power for that mic. The umm 6 has one built in.

I've started a YouTube channel to do tutorial videos. I don't have all my gear here, so I'm starting with Woofer Box and Circuit Designer, WinISD, and how to model a crossover using published graphs. In the next couple of months when I get back home, I plan to add how to measure with OmniMic, Holm, and other topics that anyone might find interesting. You can subscribe to the channel to receive updates and hopefully I will have the OmniMic measurements videos up in a few months.

Yes, I find it a bit strange that PE hasn't introduced a video tutorial for this system. After all, we live in the age when video tutorials are a prominent feature on the web and yet we still have none for this system.
Video tutorials are not expensive and are quite simple to make. I use Camtasia 8 for tutorials at work. A very nice program. Video tutorials are an extremely valuable marketing tool for products and I'm confident that if PE invested the will, they would quickly see the monetary value in such an undertaking.
The PE forum is full of highly knowledgeable and experienced people and I'm sure they would lend a hand to the project.

Come on PE, we are still waiting.
I'm still struggling to get everything from measurements into pcd correctly. I have done some preliminary design work and the speaker sounds ok but I'm missing some critical steps somewhere.

Hmmm, almost 96k views. Wonder why so many people have looked at this? There's nothing about the title of this thread tricking them into opening it. Fact is, on average, it gets clicked on 3,500 times a month. My guess is and this is just a guess guys, people are looking for help. Yes, for some of you, it's so simple you just don't understand how someone could need help. For others, myself included, we look at how easy it is for you and it just adds to the frustration we are already feeling cause we can't figure it out.

When is someone going to step up and be the Hero everyone keeps coming to this thread for??

As soon as I start my next build I'll be making a video of how to use it.

That's great news Kerry! I knew you were going to make a video of it sooner or later, just wasn't sure when.

Personally, I think this should have fallen on PE. They sell it, but IMHO, don't fully support it. Numerous other products have instructional videos, why has this one been avoided? Yes, they have a video explaining it's features, but that's not an instructional video. Can't be for sure since I've only been a member of the forum for a couple of years, but don't believe there's another thread that comes close to the number of visits this one has seen. It's an outcry for help that has been ignored up to this point.

Thanks in advance Kerry for your contribution to the end users. It will surely be appreciated by many current owners of the OmniMic as well as the many future owners to come.

I purchased omni because it does appear to be better or easier for a first time user...worth the extra $$ for me. You are right on point regarding interpretation of graphs. thanks!!

I have been using REW, but bought OmniMic because it is supposed to be better.

Came here looking for a simple tutorial...

I predict that when this thread reaches 100,000 views, someone will step up to the plate
and produce the very first OmniMic tutuorial vid.
