    Hey Rhythmz,

    Whereabouts in Cajun Country?

I'm in Hammond. Maybe I can build a cabinet for you, or assist you with a build.

Have you worked with WinISD? It's a freeware box design program, available at http://www.linearteam.dk/default.aspx?pageid=winisd

I plugged in the T/S parameters, and WinISD suggested a box volume of 8.11 cu. ft., and two 4" ports 4" in length. Should rattle the windows!

          Fold up a TL with a cross section of ~160 in^2, ~100 inches long. That should fit (roughly) inside a 24" x 24" x 36" box.

This will play flat from 50-100hz with over [email protected] sensitivity , and [email protected] with usable extension to below 30hz (lowest acoustic impedance peak of the line is 32hz).

This design will scale better than a traditional reflex box as you increase power input, provides more SPL with less driver displacement and provides better driver displacement control below tuning. This is a VERY low compression design (both thermally and physically). This is a better solution for this size box with this driver than a traditional reflex enclosure.

You're best off to find an appropriate cabinet design that meets your size, response and output needs, then load it with the appropriate driver, rather than choose a driver first and then try to make it work.

this is what I would liek to get close to
              Freq. Response 35 Hz - 87 Hz
              SPL Output 134 dB
              JBL PRX718XLF
friend has a pair sound great, would like to get close to this .what cab would you suggest for DIY unpowered

If you mean do I, no, I only have folded horns in my lineup, and I don't load them with eighteens. This is why:

That compares a twelve inch loaded T60 with a JBL 728.

                  BTW, regarding this:
would like to be at least 32" high x 24" wide x 24" deep to stack qsc hpr153i on top each subwoofer
Mains should almost never be stacked above subs. Ask anyone who does so why and they can only say 'because that's how everybody does it', and because they never read this:

It's an interesting idea, but I'm concerned about that deep trough introduced between 100 Hz and 200 Hz. yes, it's just outside the target passband of the subwoofer, but the effect might still be audible. My TP concept build had a similar notch and it was very noticeable.

Opting for a vented alignment with very large vents would produce similar results, but the notch will be further out of the passband and therefore much less likely to produce audible negative results.

An alternative is to simply stuff the first 3rd or so of the TL. that should also kill the notch.
