  • Hiss and Noise Floor in a Soundcraft 200 Delta

I just bought a 24 frame Soundcraft 200 Delta for my youth group. It's a great mixer, and the only thing I don't like is that if the room is dead quiet, I can hear white noise from the speakers from about 50 feet away. This is with no channels routed to the mains and my gain structure is fine, with the board disconnected to the amp, I can barely hear any hiss from any drivers with my ear right up to them.
I have the schematics, and I am not sure what to do. Decouple all op amps with 0.1uF NP0 ceramics? Recap PSU? Electrolytics? Signal path? Create a new grounding scheme within the mixer?
I think the balanced runs to the amp are fine, they are in the ceiling but I wouldn't expect this kind of noise to be added like that.
    Thanks in advance, Isaac.

I'd be looking at the op-amps for noise with a board that old.

Is this also with ALL gain posted @minimum?
      Does noise track gain settings?
And there any devices side chained?
What is in the chain after the board?

No, the amp sensitivity is at around 2V.
No, not as far as I can tell.
Yes, the mains go through a DBX 231.
I'll check things out more throughly this Wednesday. Maybe I was a little too quick to blame the board, but I still feel like it's part of the problem.

Well don't overlook the obvious; it's odd to have that much noise in any board nothing turned up.
I've seen noise come in effects return loops and devices between the board and amp.
