quick sub amp question

Is there anything wrong with running a sub in with a pro audio amp (like a crown)on mono sum in, and only using one channel out? (since the sub is single voice coil, and is alone)

There's nothing wrong with it, other than paying for two channels when you're only using one.

perfect i was reading your 'do not bridge' guide when this question came up.

so the amp doesnt care if i run only one channel, and until i have another sub, this is the best configuration?
